Feature and Follow #3

Follow Friday is a meme hosted by Parajunkee and Allison Can Read

Q. Jumping Genres: Ever pick up a book from a genre you usually don't like and LOVE it? Tell us about it and why you picked it up in the first place.

A. I have to say Contemporary- It's not that I don't like it, its just I sometimes just want to escape and I don't feel I do with Contemporary, it feels to real for me. But one book made me change my mind and Decadent Dreams by Ty Langston, wow that book was amazing.

  1. Haven't heard of that one. I enjoy the occasional YA contemps, but for the most part I'd rather get lost in something paranormal or fantasy! Happy Friday :)

    1. Same here, I am just a paranormal kind of girl but one reason I started my blog was that I was hoping to try other things and see if I like it.

  2. I totally understand the lack of ability to escape into contemporary because they are just too normal sometimes. (That said? I'm a total fluffy romance girl for my escapes sometimes...)

  10. I understand what you mean by wanting to escape and contemporary is a bit... less imaginative than other genres such as historical romance or PNR. I love reading anything and everything. Just throw in some romance, preferably some nookie if it's not YA, and I'm good to go, LOL.

Thanks for following! Followed you back :0)

  30. Great answer! Thanks for stopping by earlier. I'll answer your question here: for a Chick Lit I would recommend What Alice Forgot. It's a bit more serious than the "real" Chick Lit, but I enjoyed it a lot. I think it's a great read to get to know the genre!
