Goodread's Summary:
In this riveting new installment of New York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series, Gideon, keeper of the Demon of Lies, fights to uncover the truth….

Forced to his knees in agony whenever he speaks the truth, Gideon can recognize any lie—until he captures Scarlet, a demon-possessed immortal who claims to be his long-lost wife. He doesn’t remember the beautiful female, much less wedding — or bedding — her. But he wants to . . . almost as much as he wants her.

But Scarlet is keeper of Nightmares, too dangerous to roam free, and a future with her could mean ultimate ruin. Especially as Gideon’s enemies draw closer . . . and the truth threatens to destroy all he’s come to love . .

Review:
Gideon is the keeper of lies, his demon within him causes him pain if he ever told the truth. from the moment the Lord's captured this captivating beauty , Gideon couldn't get this woman out of his mind especially after her claim of being his wife.

Scarlet possessed with her own demon, Gideon was the last person she wanted to see ever again but no matter how much she tried to guard her heart , he still effected her as he supposedly did centuries ago.

I have waited for this book for so long ever since Gena had announced that Gideon would have his own book. From the moment I read about Gideon in prior books I fell in love with him. I absolutely love Gideon speak- he has to speak in lies and I wondered how in the world could she write a whole book like that. Well she did it and though sometimes you have to really think of what he is meaning to say I love having to decifer what he actually means.

What I Liked:
Gideon of course, though all the Lord's are tormented by their demons this one seems to be really hard. Can you imagine trying to talk to anyone you want to be truthful but can't how frustrating that would be and Gena wrote this brilliantly.

Scarlet tormented with her own demon , nightmares though she had come to accustomed to it when she sees Gideon again its hard to hide the pain or fight her feelings. Though she seems like a tough cookie she is really vulnerable inside for a lot of reasons which I won't giveaway.

I was so excited to see some of my fave Lord's pop in too and you can see Gena is preparing us for future books - Yay I get excited like a kid at Christmas when each book release date is annnounced, though I am not too sure I am gonna like one HEA who is mentioned in this book.

That being said I loved everything about this book, it didn't disappoint me at all. In fact Gena did it again by giving me a shock again I won't say what that is but I surely wasn't expecting it.

What I didn't Like:
It ended I crave more Lord's is it April 1st yet! Thats when The Darkest Secret is released- Amun's book and it should be very interesting.

So if you are a big fan of the Lord's this is a must read for you , IF not you should give the Lords a try they are awesome and each book can stand alone. Gena does a good job keeping you in the loop and you don't feel lost so if you wanna start here you can.

I rated this book a very high 5 out of 5 if I had a higher scale it would be much higher.
