Q. When a book goes “viral” (Hunger Games, Fifty Shades, Twilight), do you rush out to read it like everyone else, even if it’s not in your typical genre?
A. Actually I don't, I didn't read Twilight until my niece suggested I read them. I hadn't even heard they were popular til after I read the first book or two. I haven't read Hunger Games, though I want too and I haven't read Fifty Shades, though my sis in law keeps begging me too.

I am the same way...It took me awhile to read Twilight, and I still haven't read Hunger Games, and it took me a few months to read Fifty Shades (Although I have to say you would really like it!! I did :) Anyway, I only read something if it seems like something i might enjoy.
I am debating whether too, my sis in law keeps telling me I should. It seems like its a series you will either love or hate it like Twilight.
I'm the same. I read what I want to read, no matter how popular a book has gotten. I haven't read the Hunger Games at all actually.

I do too, I usually go by other reader's suggestions not the mass.
Thanks for stopping by.
It actually puts me off reading them. Fortunately I read all three before they became popular and it has spoilt the books for me now a little bit.
Thanks for stopping by Claire’s Book Corner have a great weekend.
I still love Twilight, though last book was I dunno, not my fave. I do want to read Hunger Games but not because of the hype mainly due to the bloggers recommending. Still not sure about Fifty Shades yet.
Thanks for stopping by have a great weekend!
I don't remember realizing Twilight was hyped either until later on in the series, although I never did read it.
And how funny, it was my SIL who encouraged me to read 50 Shades too!

I tend to want to keep up with things since I work at a public library. But can't seem to keep up fast enough...lol New follower ;)
@Jenny That is funny, she used to be a nonreader I was the one that started her with Twilight and she hasn't looked back. She keeps insisting I read 50 Shades.
@Joy I wish I worked in a library, might save on the money in my pocket or make it worse not sure LOL.
For me, it just depends on what the book is about. If it sounds intriguing, I'll read it. If not, I won't.
Glad to have found you via the Hop!
Same here really, but I don't too much mostly I find out through other bloggers anymore if they are pysched then that makes me want to read it.
Thanks for stopping by.
Great answer! I usually try to go for books I know I will like or that is recommended to me by someone that knows my taste. With hyped books, I try to let the craze die down before I even think of reading it.

I don't base books on hypes either. =)
Thanks for stopping by my blog
Even with Harry Potter, I didn't read until I watched the first movie and even then I didn't know what a big hit it was.
