But the great undead, much to Josie’s chagrin, aren’t just pale sexbots with pointy teeth waiting to satisfy her carnal desires—they are dangerous…and sometimes cranky. With a single-minded focus on fulfilling her sole sexual longing, Josie unwittingly entrenches herself in the twisted and sometimes antagonistic world of vampire relationships with no one to guide her, but herself.
I was literally laughing out loud for the majority of the book, Josie, I can easily say she will rank as my top favorite female character of 2011. She was experiencing what all of us that dream of having two vampires competing for her affection or to at least get her in bed or not(I won't spoil it for you).
Let me move on to Gregory, I thought at first oh yes this was a vampire, that was near perfect in every way but as I continued to read I had a nagging suspicion there was more to him than we were being told. So when Walker came into the picture- which I must say is the type I normally like the broody, grouchy type. I gravitate to this type because I know there has to be a heart of gold in there somewhere.
Overall I loved this book so much I was just searching to find anything I could on when the next book would be released. Would I recommend this book ? Yes, if you ever dreamed of what it would be like on the dating scene with a vampire or two and would love a good laugh as well then you will throughly enjoy this book. I know I did.

Kelly's TEASER TUESDAY #17
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read;
Open to a random page;
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page!
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Oh my...I've found a classic one for you! And I may have to bend the rules a little a go a tad more than two sentences. But I see people breaking that rule all the time so I'm not gonna stress. Okay, here's the quote...let's see if YOU can guess the book?
He lifted his head, his brows drawn in confusion. "My guards are stationed nearby -- ah, you mean for the sex."
There's more after that and I had to struggle to not type more out because it was funny. But there's your quote. Good one eh? You got to love a sense of humor. So, what book is this from? I'll give you a hint. Ready?
Got it yet? Need another hint? Okay...ready?
Okay, you should have it by now right? No? You need another hint? Okay, but this is the very last hint. Ready?
Yep. You got it! It's from Eternal Rider by Larissa Ione. We're reading it on our Goodreads Group. I'm talking we're reading it together. We only read a few chapters at a time and then stop and discuss the book. It's been fun and a little frustrating sometimes but mostly fun.
I hope everyone enjoyed the quote. And you holiday weekend. I hope it was nice for everyone. See you tomorrow!!!

BLB Blog Tour Review Soul Stalker by Laura Kreitzer
The three angels are missing, more mysteries pile up, and a new evil is brewing – so terrifying, in fact, that even the Soul Stalker herself is cowering in fear. Our heroine begins a jarring, romance-filled, heart-breaking journey that will lead her back to Italy, and ultimately to the answers she is desperately searching for. What will she do when they aren’t the answers she expected? What happens when she unveils a truth, so deeply hidden, that it causes an Angelic War?
I just absolutely love the characters in this book, it was so good to see Joesph again and I love how Gabriella and Joesph interacted almost like a brother and sister when it came down to their relentless teasing of each other. There was several laugh out loud moments in this book I wish I could mention them but it would give some things away.
But what I loved the most about this book was, it kept you guessing all the way through. I like it when I can't figure out what it is going to happen next and her reunion with her angel left me sighing.
Andrew and Gabriella's love story is intertwined through out the whole story and though you don't get anything more than a few kisses and believe it or not thats just fine. It's more about the romance and its a nice refreshing change. Laura writes it so well you don't miss the hot steamy scenes.
Would I recommend? Yes if you read the first book The Shadow of the Sun then this is a must read and if you haven't you should. I just purchased the third in this series Abyss and can't wait to read it.

Kelly's Review: CITY OF FALLEN ANGELS
CITY OF FALLEN ANGELS
Book 4 in The Mortal Instruments Series
By Cassandra Claire
Published by: Margaret K. McElderry
First Printing: April 5, 2011
ISBN-10: 1442403543
ISBN-13: 978-1442403543
Amazon; Barnes and Noble; Goodreads
Concept: “The Mortal War is over, and sixteen-year-old Clary Fray is back home in New York, excited about all the possibilities before her. She's training to become a Shadowhunter and to use her unique power. Her mother is getting married to the love of her life. Downworlders and Shadowhunters are at peace at last. And—most importantly of all—she can finally call Jace her boyfriend.
But nothing comes without a price.
Someone is murdering Shadowhunters, provoking tensions between Downworlders and Shadowhunters that could lead to a second, bloody war. Clary's best friend, Simon, can't help her. His mother just found out that he's a vampire and now he's homeless. Everywhere he turns, someone wants him on their side—along with the power of the curse that's wrecking his life. And they're willing to do anything to get what they want. Not to mention that he's dating two beautiful, dangerous girls—neither of whom knows about the other one.
When Jace begins to pull away from her without explaining why, Clary is forced to delve into the heart of a mystery whose solution reveals her worst nightmare: she herself has set in motion a terrible chain of events that could lead to her losing everything she loves. Even Jace.
Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. The stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.”
Review: If you are anything like me, you were chomping at the bit to start reading this, the 4th book in The Mortal Instruments series (5 if you count The Clockwork Angel which you aren’t supposed to but you might as well). Instantly, I fell back in love with the world of Clary and Jace and felt Simon’s angst. I waited patiently for the story to unfold. I waited, and waited. Then it dawned on me, it took me almost a week to read this book. The other books, I read in like two days max. It was dreadfully slow.
Why couldn’t Clary and Jace have just worked on their relationship and maybe had an adventure or two without it involving THEM? Jace was dark and ugly. Gone was his endearing arrogance and the intelligent banter that was in previous books. He was dark and brooding and very much like Edward in Twilight and ugh, haven’t we had enough of that???
Then, without writing this review with spoilers, I’ll just say that Ms. Clare, please let the dead stay dead! Book 3 was brilliant, everything was wound up nicely. Don’t resurrect something that really doesn’t need to be. I was not a big fan of Book 2 in the series but Book 3 made up for it. I hope that Book 5 makes up for Book 4. It needs to really work hard.
What I liked: I say this all the time about these books. Words like unique, interesting, dark, rewarding and romantic should be used to describe the story line as a whole about this book. It’s a young adult genre, but I would recommend it to anyone and perhaps that’s where the enchantment comes in with these books. They are like Harry Potter although I personally care for this world much, much more. Even though this wasn’t my favorite in the series, I still love the series and I doubt anything can shake me from that.
What I disliked: There were a lot of things in the book that were brought up but then dropped, for instance, Luke and Jocelyn’s wedding. Really? It’s a two book event (or maybe more)? The Seelie Queen…she was in a scene, but why? The cliffhanger at the end. Just to name a few of my dislikes.
My rating: 3.5 Feathers

Concept: “Josie Harper had boyfriends, lovers, and even friends with benefits. None of them could satisfy her. Something had always been missing—something she was now desperate to find. Gavin Scott longed for the perfect submissive. A woman worthy of the gift he could give to her as a Dom. Most failed to meet his expectations and he’d all but given up hope. A high class match-maker in Las Vegas brings Josie and Gavin together. Tonight, Gavin will introduce Josie to the world of BDSM. As he skillfully guides her through the experience, Josie isn’t the only one captivated. Gavin is in awe of her control, someone this new to the lifestyle shouldn’t possess this great of a talent. During their journey, Josie will find the missing piece of her soul and Gavin will meet the woman who was born to submit to him.
Review: Forever Bound is an erotic novella which features a young woman by the name of Josie Harper who has found her sex life to be a little on the dull side so she spends her savings on a “Fantasy Island” situation of sorts. She is a submissive who has asked to be paired with a Dom so that she can experience some of the BDSM lifestyle. On the other side of the coin is a Dom who is tired of the same ol’ same ol’ and has been paired with this newbie because of her “girl next door” looks and ironically, her lack of experience coupled with her desire to please.
The two of them experience something for the first time: each other. There is some very hot and sexy use of ropes and vibrators. The Dom finds his surprise that someone can be as real as Josie is and Josie finds to her delight that she can be fulfilled in the bedroom at last. Do the two of them turn a few hours into something more? What happened with the two of them with the ropes and the vibrators? You’ll have to get this wonderful little bit of reading to find out.
What I liked: A lot. I am no prude but I am not really experienced in the world of BDSM either. If I ever wanted to be, my fantasies would be just like what this story describes and in truth, a few scenes really had me fanning myself. I appreciate that Ms. Kennedy wrote this novella as something naughty while being tasteful at the same time so as not to scare off some of the not so sure people like myself. I also really liked hearing from BOTH of the characters and their innermost thoughts during the process. I found that to be interesting.
I have to add that the subject of BDSM is not something I would normally discuss with my friends, but the story reached me at some level because I found myself telling my manicurist about this novella the very next morning after I had read it. This sparked a conversation between the two of us about how to delve into our sexual fantasies with our mates without embarrassment. At the end of that day, I was still thinking about it so much that I’m going to have my husband read it just to spark a conversation. I am very happy with my husband and our marriage but I think that using this story can keep the spark alive and after 30 something years of marriage, spark can be important. My point to all this is that this story touched me in a spot that kept me thinking about it for hours afterward and sharing it with not only a girlfriend but my husband as well.
What I disliked: I’m on the fence about this, so it’s a very small dislike, but I don’t know if I think that the two main characters needed to have anything else after their time together. It didn’t have to continue past the room. Or perhaps there could be more of a story at a later time. But being as the subtitle to this novella is “A 1 Night Stand Story,” I think maybe it should have been over at the end of the session. On other hand (and here’s the fence), if I were in Josie’s position, I would have liked for my Dom to be as enraptured with me as Josie’s Dom was with her. So it was a fun part to the story. As I said, I am on the fence.
My rating: 4.5 feathers
