Goodreads Summary:
This book is part of the Dark-Hunter universe, but does not feature any Dark-Hunters, For that it's considered an introduction to the series hence the #0.

Dear Reader, Being trapped in a bedroom with a woman is a grand thing. Being trapped in hundreds of bedrooms over two thousand years isn't. And being cursed into a book as a love-slave for eternity can ruin even a Spartan warrior's day. As a love-slave, I knew everything about women. How to touch them, how to savor them, and most of all how to pleasure them. But when I was summoned to fulfill Grace Alexander's sexual fantasies, I found the first woman in history who saw me as a man with a tormented past. She, alone, bothered to take me out of the bedroom and into the world. She taught me to love again. But I was not born to know love. I was cursed to walk eternity alone. As a general, I had long ago accepted my sentence. Yet now I have found Grace-the one thing my wounded heart cannot survive without. Sure, love can heal all wounds, but can it break a two thousand year old curse? Julian of Macedon

Review:
As many people know Sherrilyn is my all time favorite author so when it was decided the Dark Hunter's would be one of our challenges for this year, I nearly jumped up and down like a silly fan girl because I have been itching to reread this series.

This is the third time I have read this book since I found and hopelessly became addicted to this series and let me say it still gave off the same emotions as it did the first time I read it. I laughed, swooned and cried.

Alot of people don't care for this prequel but I do. Julian is who by all rights should enjoy being a sex slave but once you read his background, you just want to hug on to him and let it be known there are people that would love him for him and not his body.

Grace has her own trust issues as well but between the both of them they find the love both have been craving for, not without the bumps along the way.

So I Would I recommend this book? A resounding YES! Though I must say don't judge the whole series by this book, her writing has grown with each book so please continue with them and don't let this huge number of books intimidate you because they are fast reads.

My Rating is 5 out of 5 stars

I love Acheron too as much as I love his book I kind of dread rereading it in a way because its so emotional.

Great review! I haven't gotten around to this series yet but have had my eye on it for quite some time now. The fact that you've read it several times and that you still give it a 5 star rating speaks volumes! LOL

Hey, you guys should join us at Goodreads (join our group -- Book Lover's Hideaway) to join in the read. It's a GREAT time to start this series if you haven't read it yet. We're pretty much all just starting out. You should join us!!!

Great review Donna. I enjoyed Fantasy Lover, but it wasn't the best book I've ever read. I find it very dated almost. I'm glad I stuck with the series though. Now I can hardly wait for the next book.

OH yea I wasn't sure when I started how I would rate it I mean last couple times I read it was before I even thought about starting a book blog but the fact it still made me cry even after the 3rd time spoke volumes to me.

Kelly I had a feeling you might not like Fantasy Lover its one of those books is whether you will totally love or just feel iffy about. But I am so glad you stuck it out and I got you addicted :)

IMO SK is a brilliant author.

I liked this book too. Actually, it is the only book I've read by Sherrilyn Kenyon other than one of her short stories. I'm looking forward to sinking my teeth further into the Dark Hunters!

@Laurie If this was this series was the only books I had it wouldn't matter to me I could reread these books over and over.

@Danielle Like I said I hope you do like it like I did but some didn't care for it but don't let it stop you from reading the rest.
