Waiting On Wednesday #12

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine That spotlights upcoming releases we are eagerly anticipating.

What I'm Waiting on(Donna/BLHmistress):
This is another series I am absolutely addicted too, Warrior of Poseidon Series by Alyssa Day, This release is scheduled for June 7th, 2011

Amazon Summary:(not much of a summary but I know I will love this if its anything like the others in this series.)

The most unexpected of all allies to Poseidon's warriors has proven to be the fiercest-Daniel, a vampire and Night Guild mage. But even the strongest alliance can be destroyed when a vampire's oath crosses paths with a maiden's quest, and an eleven-thousand-year-old desire is reborn.

What Kelly is Waiting On:

Well, you know what? I'll tell you what I've had on my library waiting list for a very long time now. I've heard a lot about this book and it's received TONS of great reviews. This is not normally the type of book I'd read, but I'm willing to take a chance.

From Amazon's page:

"In many ways, Jack is a typical 5-year-old. He likes to read books, watch TV, and play games with his Ma. But Jack is different in a big way--he has lived his entire life in a single room, sharing the tiny space with only his mother and an unnerving nighttime visitor known as Old Nick. For Jack, Room is the only world he knows, but for Ma, it is a prison in which she has tried to craft a normal life for her son. When their insular world suddenly expands beyond the confines of their four walls, the consequences are piercing and extraordinary. Despite its profoundly disturbing premise, Emma Donoghue's Room is rife with moments of hope and beauty, and the dogged determination to live, even in the most desolate circumstances. A stunning and original novel of survival in captivity, readers who enter Room will leave staggered, as though, like Jack, they are seeing the world for the very first time. --Lynette Mong"

As I said, I'm on a waiting list for this book at my library...164 people deep. It's a very popular book and one that I'd like to read. I don't know if I'd say I'm anxious to read it, but I do want to.

I had to do a double-take there; Poseidon and vampires?! I might have to check it out! And I've been interested in reding ROOM. I've been hearing good things about it. Great picks!

Room sounds like an awesome read, and it has a nice cover. The first novel Vampires in Atlantis? That might be something I have to take a look at! I love Atlantis, and the story around it, and mythology, etc. Combine that with vampires, and you made my day.

Here's my Waiting on Wednesday.

We can't seem to keep Room on the shelf. It is constantly out of stock. Which to me, means it is a good read. Also on my list of TBR.
