I am so pleased to have Kelly on-board , please welcome her to the wide world of blogging! Here is a a bit about Kelly in her own words. Her first review will be posted tomorrow, Storm Born by Richelle Mead
A reviewer? Me? I’d like to thank all the little people out there that supported me. Hehehe Just kidding but, I am really, truly honored to be a book reviewer for our beloved group. I shall do my best to give you good reviews so you can make some of your own judgment calls on books. A little about me? My name is Kelly. I’ll be a young 52 in June, married for 31 years to the love of my life and my best friend (it’s funny how it works like that eh?) with a 25 year old male sponge to show for it. Best of all though, I have two dogs, a Boxer (Drambuie) and a Bulldog (Winston). I would be like one of those old women with 40 cats in her home but with dogs. I love them all. I love most animals in fact, maybe a little to the extreme on that. Maybe. Can you love something too much? Did I mention I’m a suthern gal? Yup…from Suthern California that is. Born and bred. My husband and I own our own printing business and I am lucky enough to work from home.
I enjoy the simple things in life. I’m not about trends at all. In fact, I revolt against them. If I had a style, it would probably be something like country wannabe. J I love smelling something baking or cooking in my house. Living in Southern California, I have to add the smell of something on my grill as well. I think I’m very much into smells to be honest. I love television (I’m a reality tv junkie) and movies. I’ve recently discovered gardening and am learning about that as I either kill of plants or watch them grow. If you have advice, I’d love it if you were to share with me. My son is an avid hockey player so its not unusual for me to watch a game or two as well. As far as reading, well, I adore paranormal romances best I think. Sookie Stackhouse started it off for me in that genre, then I read Twilight, and branched out from there learning that there were far better worlds out there than the Twilight world. I still enjoy a good mystery, your basic fiction novels, historical romances (did I hear someone say Civil War love stories?), good ol’ bodice-ripper romances and fantasy genres. I think I like my books like my music. I can really get into anything as long as it twirls my beanie at the time.
I am fairly new to this world but I will work hard to be someone you come to depend on. I welcome any suggestions or advice you can give me. I look forward to sharing my thoughts with you.
Kelly
